At One Arrow Cultural Lodge, stories are more than entertainment — they are sacred vessels of history, values, and identity. Through our Storytelling and Performance Arts program, we invite guests to gather around the circle and experience the heartbeat of One Arrow First Nation through words, song, and movement.
Led by Elders, knowledge keepers, and Indigenous performers, these sessions bring traditional stories to life — tales of creation, resilience, humor, and survival — passed down through generations. The oral tradition is central to our people’s way of life, and each story shared is a thread in the tapestry of our cultural legacy.
“Our stories teach lessons, carry medicine, and connect us to who we are,” says one of our storytellers. “When we speak them aloud, the ancestors listen.”
In addition to storytelling, the program includes dramatic performances, drumming, traditional songs, and theatrical reenactments that blend ancient traditions with contemporary Indigenous expression. Youth and community performers often join, ensuring that the next generation continues the sacred role of being storytellers.
Guests of all ages are welcome to attend these intimate and inspiring evenings. Whether sitting quietly under the stars or participating in a community performance, all are invited to listen, learn, and be moved by the living spirit of Indigenous performance arts.
Schedules and booking details for Storytelling and Performance Arts Nights can be found on the One Arrow Cultural Lodge website.
